Mostly a good experience but the dessert part seems super bizarre. And I can’t shake the feeling that it was to get rid of us because of the kids, both 5 & 6. I’m not sure if it’s a new thing at AVS to not have dessert on specific days which is what we were being told, but it was really surprising. The waitress handled it all in stride and was very accommodating. My companion sent her wine back and might have been more hands on regarding the wine than most, and I was that slow person having a hard time deciding on a main course. Only two other tables got sat anywhere near us and still a bit away. Further, I noticed the enchilada sauce was red, but on the menu it mentioned "salsa verde". I was a little disappointed with my meal - I ordered the turkey enchiladas, which had sounded amazing when I reviewed the menu the day before! When I received my actual plate though, I noticed the cheese on top was of the pre-shredded variety and not fully melted. We really enjoyed out time here! The food was decent (albeit a little overpriced), and there were plenty of options for both our vegan and non-vegan diners.
